Council by-election – Result of Nominations for Candidates

His Excellency the Governor set a deadline of Wednesday 19 August for the receipt of nominations for candidates for the by-election due to be held on 03 September 2020. Regrettably, no valid nominations were received by the Returning Officer. Therefore, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation 7(3) of the Elections Regulations, 2008, the Returning Officer declared the election to be void.

A new date for the by-election will be published in due course.
