St George’s Cross is flown at Government House

Falling on 23 April 2022 each year, St George’s Day is the national day of England. It is celebrated as such in honour of St George, the patron saint of England. In recognition of the special relationship Ascension has with England, alongside the other British Overseas Territories, Embassies and High Commissions across the world, the Ascension Island Government flew the St George’s Cross in front of Government House in Georgetown to mark the day.
